The sun’s ultraviolet rays can increase inflammation and redness. Some acne medications may make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. Limit your time in the sun, especially between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Always apply sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher at least 20 minutes before sun exposure. Look for “noncomedogenic” on the sunscreen label to make new pimples less likely.
Regular yoga or exercise can give you a glowing skin. Yoga oxygenats the body cells and relaxes the mind, making you stress free.
Ice: Ice can be used to quickly reduce the redness, swelling and inflammation of pimples. It helps in improving blood circulation to the affected area and in closing the skin pores and removing dirt and oil accumulated on the skin.
Lemon: Lemon juice rich in vitamin C is very effective in getting rid of pimples quickly. Lemon juice helps pimples dry up faster. It is advisable to always use fresh lemon juice.
Tea Tree Oil: Tea tree oil has antibacterial properties that is excellent for treating acne and pimples. It fights the bacteria that cause these skin problems and also helps dry out blackheads and whiteheads. Note: Tea tree oil is not advisable for sensitive skin.
Toothpaste: The white toothpaste that we use every morning to clean our teeth can also be used to treat pimples quickly. It is most effective when used following the ice remedy.
Steam: Taking steaming always works wonders for your skin specially during pimples. This helps open the pores of the skin and get rid of oils, dirt and bacteria trapped in the pores that can cause infection or inflammation.
Garlic: Garlic acts like an antiviral, antifungal, antiseptic and antioxidant all put together as one. It’s sulphur content helps healing of pimples merely by rubbing garlic on it and washing it after five minutes with lukewarm water.
